Did John McCain sell out America and have the wheels come off his Straight Talk Express or is this just bull?
I will take nothing from John McCain and his service to this nation during military service! He has my respect and I honor him! What is the truth concerning what the New York Times printed about him making backroom deals for friends as a senator….any truth or all bull crap to discredit an American hero! What do you believe and why? I personally give John McCain the benefit of the doubt…he has earned it through the years!
It is the New York Times reporting this and please note, they didn’t have the balls to come right out and say he had had an affair with a beautiful lobbyist, they said that they had been told by others.

They make more news than they report.
I hope it is not true.
It would be hard to overcome years of saying he cannot be bought, if it turns out he can be.

I do not trust the NYT. However, I do not believe all the information has come out on this one yet. I will not judge until all that information is out. My question is why has the NYT been sitting on this story for years before bringing it to print during the elections. I believe the NYT has its own agenda, which is NOT the good for this country.

Did you actually READ the NYT story? It reads like some locker room talk from high school…un-named sources, claiming anonymity and the major parties claiming nothing happened. It is so obviously timed to damage McCain at a crucial point in the Texas and Ohio primary’s that will only benefit their chosen candidate "Clinton". It is so specious its funny if it weren’t so tragic for the tradition and history of a formerly outstanding news paper.
The press is what needs reforming along with Washington.

He denies it. I can’t say that I believe something actually happened, but I do believe that some of his aides might have thought something was up and they advised him on it and asked the lady to keep her distance. I also know that he’s denying that. You know how you can be nice to people and others think you’re flirting…well that might have been what it was like. Of course, she’s a lobbyist, so she’s going to be nice to the Senators because she wants some type of legislation passed. He was probably just returning the kindness and it was seen by someone else and they over reacted.
