Senator Larry Craig….Gay and lying? or Straight and truthful? See detail?
I watched an interview last night. It might have been a re-run and this question might be old now. But when there was the answer about him running his hand under the stall divider, saying that he was just reaching for a newspaper, along with him agreeing that he coincidentally did all of those "known moves for bathroom solicitation" in the gay world, it really made me wonder about him.
I’m a gay man that ‘came out’ 11 years ago, after being in a marriage for 10 years. I told my future ex-wife that I was gay on the second day we ever talked. Yet she didn’t really want to hear that or believe it and kept pursuing me until I married her. (And I must admit, it was convenient, given my job at the time). After we married we just didn’t talk about it anymore, and she was, after 5 years totally convinced that I had changed. I was always faithful to her, but never changed my sexual orientation one bit. So, it makes me wonder about Craig’s wife’s ability to see the truth. Thoughts?
I don’t believe Larry Craig coincidentally went through the whole ritual of obtaining gay sex in a bathroom. It’s funny how the pastors counseling Ted Haggard said that Haggard wasn’t the one performing the homosexual activities. If Ted Haggard wasn’t doing homosexual stuff, how come he didn’t get a female prostitute to fulfill his needs. It doesn’t matter what he does, if it’s sexual and with a man, it’s gay. Larry Craig has been lying to his wife for too long. The longer it takes for the truth to come out, the more pain it will cause his family; and it will come out. Many women had no clue when they found out their husband is gay.
Gay and in denial and/or perhaps genuinely believes not gay. Wife in denial.

If I remotely suspected that my husband was "swinging both ways" I’d be out the door. I’d file for an anullment! She’s probably in denial and I do believe he was groping for more than just a newspaper.

I don’t know. Possible but it is also really strange that Craig is an ultra conservative that voted against the Patriot Act. Supposedly, Bush said he wanted to get him out of office. And every time a Republican speaks out against Bush, they "retire" or recant or whatever. Craig was extremely popular in his state and being exposed as gay was the very best way to turn his constituents against him.

straight men would never reach under a stall for anything. i dont think a gay man would either unless he was looking for some action. he’s gotta be gay, in denial, and lying to the public to keep a little dignity, what is left of his political image, and keep his wife from knowing.

His statement was that he pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor because he thought that would make the case go away. Meaning, I presume, disappear into a black hole.
Either he is gay and thought the case would drop off the radar and he could keep his secret or he was incredibly stupid to cop a plea, even to a minor charge, when he was truly innocent. The latter is something that should be political suicide.
I have conflicting thoughts about whether it would be best for a public figure like a senator to stay in the closet or risk public wrath because of a genetic disposition but would not tolerate the intellectual dishonesty of being politically anti gay in public and engaging in the same kind of behavior you condemn when you think nobody is looking.

He was caught red-handing soliciting gay sex from a stranger in a bathroom. He has been caught in other lies too. Isn’t it about time for him to go home and repair his marriage? That is, if he still wants to be married to a woman, now that he is out of the closet.

SO if Craig has ever given blood. Did he lie on the donation forms about unsafe or gay sex? If so isn’t that perjury?
