I have just watched the film ‘Hostel Part 2′. Does anyone else share my thoughts?

I did not know what this film was about, but rented it after hearing a couple at work talking about it. I thought it was a straight-up horror, which I like.

I forced myself to watch the whole thing on DVD, and have to say I was utterly disgusted by what I saw. Gory horror is one thing, but it was not even contextual in this film. It was plain sick, and, what’s worse, ultra-realistic. It was basically a snuff film.

I must say I feel deeply concerned for the souls who thought this would make a good cinema experience and am actually worried that such people have so much money and influence in Hollywood!

Even worse are the comments on YouTube such as ‘best movie ever!’.

I know everyone has different tastes, and I know I might be a little prudish, but surely this film took things one step too far, with graphic sexual torture and murder.

Your thoughts?

Eli Roth intended for Hostel pt 1 to be a gruesome film, meant to break all the boundaries before it.
Hostel pt 2 wasn’t fantastic, but it at least provides some explination. It’s great for people love ultraviolence (which is why I somewhat enjoyed it).
