MAC Studio Fix..Help is this any good?
I heard this is the best foundation that MAC has to offer BUT….
A statement from one girl is this true:
Okay, I’m not trying to talk you out of buying a foundation you like, but I’ll admit that my experience with MAC has been FAR from enjoyable. I’ve always loved their Studio Fix powder. It covers everything, and always looks amazing. I’ve had moderate acne for years, and as I wore that powder, it got awful. I nearly got scars. I’m not sure about other MAC foundations, but do NOT buy the Studio Fix powder. It’s made for models and actresses and is not made to be worn for long periods of time. Your skin can’t breathe in it.
Good luck.
which foundation is next best to studio fix?
is it true studio fix is used for models, actresses and photos in general?
which studio fix is better liquid or foundation?
P.S I don’t wear foundation on a day to day basic i wear it for special occasion, once in a blue moon and on and off; say i’m going to school mon-fri i might wear it for 2 weeks straight then maybe for another 3 weeks i don’t. Sometimes i might just wear it 2 or 3 times in a month.
Please help
Not all MAC makeup is made for models, actresses, and photos in general. It’s true that a lot of it is used that way, because like the girl in your review said, it covers everything and always looks amazing.
In my opinion, if you have acne, you probably want to think twice about wearing most makeup products, because they aren’t formulated for skin that is that sensitive. I have acne, and I’ve worn Studio fix powder for almost a year, and I’ve never had any problems with it. I think it all depends on what type of acne, and the facial care regimen the person uses to remove their makeup. I use regular ol’ Cetaphil from the drugstore, and it works fine.
Studio fix fluid is better if you have dry, normal, or even combination skin. But you’ll want to make sure you have a translucent setting powder to keep excess oil under control. If you have oily skin, the powder foundation will probably work better. I apply it with a big fluffy powder brush (MAC 150) and blend with a kabuki. I set the powder foundation with Fix+ spray, to keep it from looking chalky.
I don’t think you’ll have problems with MAC foundations, especially if you don’t wear them very often. Just make sure you wash your face and make sure you completely remove all of your makeup before you go to bed, or else you’ll end up with breakouts. This applies to any foundation, not just MAC.
Hope this helps.

I wear MAC studio fix powder and I wear it almost everyday. I have never broken out or had skin issues from it. I do however had never dealt with acne problems, i have been blessed with good skin, thx mom! I recommend you use it as a matter of fact I always recommend for everyone to use it. You should always apply moisturizer under the MAC studio fix powder or your skin will feel dry. You will love it!
